Hot days

We're just going day to day here, gearing up for some time in the house as temperatures this weekend threaten to be extremely hot. We love having central air in our apartment!

Wendy is 2 months old now! She's smiling now and is still really content. She sleeps really well for naps and at night.

Tball is all done. It was fun for all of us and Owen learned quite a bit.

Owen had his first ever trip to the dentist. His teeth are in great shape with lots of room for his big teeth. He's pictured below wearing his new set of teeth from the dentist.

Silver

We bought a van this past week! Now that we're a family of 5 (with all kids in carseats and booster seats), we'd outgrown our trusty Volvo. We found this van on Craigslist, Ry met up with the seller and van, had it checked out by our mechanic, and since everything checked out great, we bought it! It's a 2003 Honda Odyssey. We all really like it. There is enough room for all of us AND for 2 more people!
We bought the van from another family of 5. They're the original owners of the vehicle and the kids had grown attached to it! Their youngest had named the van Silver and we're going to continue to do that,  too.

One month yesterday

Wendy met her 1 month mark yesterday. She's about 10 lbs now and she's starting to lose her fresh newborn look. Here's a sequence of photos to show-off our squirmy, expressive, peaceful, and content 1-month-old!

Sitting alone

We pushed through a few upset squawks yesterday and now Wendy is content to sit for a little while on her own. She fell asleep in her chair yesterday and I hope she'll do this more.

Evening fishing

We went out and enjoyed the nice weather - did some fishing and played at a park near the dock.

2 weeks old yesterday

Wendy's due date was yesterday! It was also her 2 week birthday yesterday.

In addition to some new pics, I'm also posting some older photos that I didn't get around to posting earlier. There are a couple Wendy just after she was born. The photo of Aleida and Owen shows,  though it's hard to see, that she has a head full of dandelion fuzzies. Owen thought it was a really funny thing to do.

Some awake time

After a feed and diaper change, Wendy will usually be awake for about an hour. It's pretty sweet; she quietly looks around and turns her head toward our voices. We're all just soaking one another in.
